Who even are we?
We’re regular millennials (read: burnt out, overworked, underpaid, have never had precedented times to relax in) that got tired of the rush: the sports schedules, the grocery bills, the stress of work, the constant pressure to keep up. Somewhere between too many errands and too few meaningful moments, we realized we didn’t want more; we wanted better.
We decided to do what we could, with what we had, right where we were. We have ADHD and took two seconds to decide we wanted chickens made the decision to no longer make excuses and to just jump headfirst into micro farming.
Eggsistential Farms is the result: a backyard that we’re turning into a working family farm. We didn’t grow up farming, we just got tired of outsourcing everything and wanted to take some of it back — our food, our time, and what’s left of our sanity.
What started as a half-joke about chickens has turned into a lifestyle: slower days, dirty hands, and kids who know where food comes from.
We are not experts. We’re figuring it out, one project at a time, while sharing our journey with hopes of inspiring others to try it for themselves.
DISCLAIMER 1: this sounds a lot more wholesome than we really are. We’re a train wreck over here; welcome to the chaos.
DISCLAIMER 2: We like to use an em dash because we are MILLENNIALS, not AI.
